THE WORD OF GOD. We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without
error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it has
supreme and final authority in all maters on which it speaks.
THE TRINITY. We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three
persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each of whom possesses equally all the attributes of deity.
GOD THE FATHER. We believe in God, the Father, an infinite personal spirit, perfect in
holiness, wisdom, power, and love. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the
affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin all who come to
Him through Jesus Christ.
JESUS CHRIST. We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy
Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, and teaching. We believe in His
substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, intercession for His
people, and personal visible return to earth.
THE HOLY SPIRIT. We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth to convict the world of sin,
righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, indwell, and empower all who receive
Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We believe that the Holy Spirit is an abiding helper, teacher,
and guide. He imparts spiritual gifts for Christian service and edification and the fruits of the
Spirit for a Christ-like life.
ORIGINAL SIN. We believe that man was originally created in the image of God. He sinned
by disobeying God; thus, he was alienated from his Creator. This historical fall brought all
mankind under divine condemnation. We believe that all men are sinners, by nature and by
choice, and therefore are under condemnation.
REGENERATION. We believe that those who repent of their sin and trust in Jesus Christ as
Lord and Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit. The salvation of man is a work of God's free
grace and is not a result of human works or goodness or religious ceremony. We further believe
that regeneration results in righteous living and good works.
ASSURANCE OF SALVATION. It is the privilege of all who are born again of the Holy Spirit
to be assured of their salvation from the very moment in which they trust Jesus Christ as their
Lord and Savior. This assurance is produced by the witness of the Holy Spirit, who confirms in
the believer the testimony of God in His written Word.
CHRISTIAN CONDUCT. We believe that every Christian is called to live so in the power of
the indwelling Holy Spirit that he will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh, but will bear fruit to the
glory of God. The Christian should also be a faithful steward of his possessions and should seek
to realize for himself and others, the full stature of maturity in Jesus Christ.
THE CHURCH. We believe in the universal church, a living spiritual body of which Jesus
Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local church,
consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ and associated for worship and fellowship.
We believe that God admonishes His people to assemble together regularly for worship, for
participation in ordinances, for edification through the Scriptures, and for mutual encouragement.
PHYSICAL DEATH. We believe that upon physical death, the believer enters immediately into
conscious fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ in heaven and waits the resurrection of his body
to everlasting glory and blessing. We believe that upon physical death, the unbeliever enters
immediately into conscious separation from the Lord Jesus Christ in hell and awaits the
resurrection of his body to everlasting judgment and condemnation.
